Dear all,
one can surely say that we have waited for this release. In order to recover its third place as the largest civil aircraft manufacturer in front of Embrear, Bombardier did wait a very strategic moment to launche its series C aircraft with two engines under the wings.
According to the news, this should be the first generation of “green” airliners which forecast
- reduced consumption,
- production of less carbon dioxide producing the greenhouse effect.

Bombardier now is after the market that is almost reserved to the Embraer E170 or even the E190 and also the Airbus A319. The new airplane is quite a challenge since this is the first time this company is designing one.
Knowing that Luftansa has placed an option on 60 vessels, this gives wings to the project. Lets remember that Bombardier did create the regional jet concept by extending its famous Challenger. It is also very important to note that Luftansa will again buy again a large number of aiplanes and this proves their satisfaction.
