I would like once to see a coast-to-coast competition between the leading car diesel manufaturers such as :
PSA (Peugeot-Citroen), VAG (VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat), Mercedes-Benz and Volvo.

These TDi motors have been around for quite a while now and they were very popular in Quebec proving that disel can run in severe wintery conditions. I remember when my father proudly arrived at my place with his new VW Jetta powered by a 1.6 L TDi which was tested throughout the roads of Quebec for more than 250 000 kms without any problems. I was suprised how smoothe the engine could be even if sounded like a very old farmer tractor at start-up.
Myself, I am very pleased by the services of my 1.9 L TDi well suited for a sedan or saloon car like our Audi 80. After 220 000 km, it is still featuriıng milleage around 6 L per 100 kms.
When are we going to have an hybrid with diesel ? I know that PSA is preparing one.
