The ninth Railtex exhibition of railway technology

Dear folks,

as Turkey moves in the fast lane with not one but three high speed line for high speed rail service centered on Ankarra in direction of Istambul, Izmir and the south, there are still some governments who have not moved in the twenty-first century by linking their large cities with very high speed trains. There are the UK and Canada which are dragging and continue to pretend that investment has to come from private means which is now proven to be surely the way to impeech its happening.

Mechanism and robotics experts are surely interested since more and more trains wagons are implementing tilting and complex active mutli-axial suspensions are under investigation for helping the wheelsets to stick to the rail tracks allowing for higher velocities even in difficult corners or rail connections. Parallel mechanisms can offer some good solutions.
