This year (2016), the Mini-Baja competition was held in Rochester. 98 teams did compete in an eventful race where design excellence is celebrated.

The results are now published and available at:

Memorial University finished 36/98 Overall and 6/13 among Canadian Teams.

It is notable to see that Quebec's Universities did very well in this competition.

My old engineering school, Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, where I graduated from, placed 5th overall. To be in the top five is awesome.

Ecole de Technologie Superieure surprised everyone with an eight position overall. This is excellent. Sherbrooke University has placed 16. This is indeed excellent showing that our small Universities can do compared to much bigger ones with impressive resources. That is surely what we call Canadian engineering efficiency.

McGill University reached the 24th position.

At the larger Canadian level, Queen's University also placed at the 9th position.

Congratulations !
